568-010 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-010 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile supplied with an inside diameter of 0.239 in (6.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.379 in (9.63 mm), catalogued under part number SV70010. It uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, high-temperature process equipment, and aerospace.
