Part number SV70011 is an AS568-011 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.301 in (7.65 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.441 in (11.2 mm). A square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Viton® (FKM) is known for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
