568-132 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

APG stocks the SV70132, an AS568-132 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.737 in (44.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.943 in (49.35 mm). A square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
