This o-ring is supplied in AS568-137 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 2.05 in (52.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.256 in (57.3 mm), catalogued under part number TES70137. The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and wide temperature swings. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is known for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.
