APG stocks the TES70139, an AS568-139 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.175 in (55.25 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.381 in (60.48 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware. Additional detail on this item: ORING 70 Durometer.
The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, wide temperature swings, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
Typical settings include chemical processing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and food and beverage processing.
