The TES70140 is an AS568-140 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.237 in (56.82 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.443 in (62.05 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. Additional detail on this item: ORING 70 Durometer.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is valued for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and strong resistance to permeation. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and wide temperature swings. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, and chemical processing.

Stocked as TES70140 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 2 1/4 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design.
