568-224 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

APG stocks the TES70224, an AS568-224 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.734 in (44.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.012 in (51.1 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and strong resistance to permeation. Expect good resistance to wide temperature swings, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.

It sees regular use in cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food and beverage processing.
