568-228 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

Ordered as TES70228, this is an AS568-228 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm). PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, steam, and strong acids and solvents. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).
