This o-ring is supplied in AS568-242 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm), catalogued under part number TES70242. It resists wide temperature swings, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and strong resistance to permeation. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges or tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.
