568-340 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

The TES70340 is an AS568-340 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.35 in (85.09 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.77 in (95.76 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. The catalog record notes: ORING 70 Durometer.

This material stands up to steam, nearly all process chemicals, and wide temperature swings. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone offers excellent recovery across extreme temperature cycling and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.

Typical settings include cryogenic and high-temperature equipment, chemical processing, and food and beverage processing.
