568-138 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80138 is an AS568-138 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.112 in (53.64 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.318 in (58.88 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, semiconductor equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
