568-175 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80175 is an AS568-175 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.987 in (228.27 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.193 in (233.5 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Expect good resistance to nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
