568-283 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80283 is an AS568-283 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.233 in (437.72 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The compound resists strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.
