568-343 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80343 is an AS568-343 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.725 in (94.62 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.145 in (105.28 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media valves and pumps, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
