568-474 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-474 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 24.94 in (633.48 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 25.49 in (647.45 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80474. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.

Typical settings include chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
