Stainless Steel is specified here for dimensional stability under thermal cycling, excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service. Expect good resistance to corrosion and oxidation, salt water and washdown, and chemical attack. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.
