As a material, Aluminum offers good corrosion resistance in general industrial service and reduced operator fatigue on frequent connection cycles. The compound resists many petroleum products, general atmospheric corrosion, and weathering. It should not be specified for service in galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals or prolonged salt water immersion.
