TSP016 is an AS568-016 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm). In service, this back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

This material stands up to solvents, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) delivers excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
