Part number TSP025 is an AS568-025 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 1.176 in (29.87 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.316 in (33.43 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. This material stands up to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and oxidizing media. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
