The TSP026 is an AS568-026 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.239 in (31.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.379 in (35.03 mm). This back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

This material stands up to nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers a very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.
