Part number TSP130 is an AS568-130 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.612 in (40.94 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.818 in (46.18 mm). A back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

This material stands up to solvents, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is known for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature will shorten service life.
