TSP131 is an AS568-131 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.674 in (42.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.88 in (47.75 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) is known for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. It resists steam, strong acids and bases, and solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.

Common environments for this compound include laboratory equipment, pharmaceutical and biotech, and chemical processing.
