APG stocks the TSP329, an AS568-329 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.975 in (50.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.395 in (60.83 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. It resists solvents, steam, and oxidizing media. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.

Common environments for this compound include laboratory equipment, chemical processing, and semiconductor fabrication.
