Part number TSP354 is an AS568-354 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.1 in (129.54 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.52 in (140.21 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Expect good resistance to steam, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals are present.
