TSP361 is an AS568-361 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 5.975 in (151.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.395 in (162.43 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

It resists strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Applications involving elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals call for a different compound.

Typical settings include semiconductor fabrication, pharmaceutical and biotech, and aggressive-media pipelines.
