TSP444 is an AS568-444 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.725 in (196.22 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.275 in (210.19 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

PTFE (Teflon) offers excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. This material stands up to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.

Common environments for this compound include food and beverage, aggressive-media pipelines, and chemical processing.
