TST015SO is an AS568-015 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.551 in (14 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.691 in (17.55 mm). In service, this back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

The material holds up against oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.
