*016 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

Ordered as TST016SO, this is an AS568-016 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics.
