Part number TST023 is an AS568-023 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.051 in (26.7 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.191 in (30.25 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

It resists steam, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. PTFE (Teflon) offers a very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.

Typical settings include laboratory equipment, semiconductor fabrication, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
