*116 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

The TST116SO is an AS568-116 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 0.737 in (18.72 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.943 in (23.95 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is specified for a very wide continuous service temperature range and excellent dielectric properties. It resists nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and solvents. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
