TST130 is an AS568-130 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 1.612 in (40.94 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.818 in (46.18 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

The compound resists nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for near-universal chemical inertness and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, aggressive-media pipelines, and laboratory equipment.
