Part number TST133 is an AS568-133 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 1.799 in (45.69 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.005 in (50.93 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) delivers excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. The material holds up against solvents, oxidizing media, and steam. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, semiconductor fabrication, and chemical processing.
