143 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

The TST143SO is an AS568-143 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.425 in (61.6 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.631 in (66.83 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

It resists oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).
