The TST213 is an AS568-213 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.921 in (23.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.199 in (30.45 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and strong acids and bases. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals will shorten service life.
