250 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

The TST250SO is an AS568-250 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.984 in (126.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.262 in (133.65 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) delivers excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. This material stands up to steam, strong acids and bases, and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, semiconductor fabrication, and aggressive-media pipelines.
