265 PTFE SOLID BACKUP RING FDA

TST265SO is an AS568-265 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 7.734 in (196.44 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.012 in (203.5 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

The material holds up against nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is specified for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals.

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and semiconductor fabrication.
