The TST433 is an AS568-433 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.475 in (139.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.025 in (153.04 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

PTFE (Teflon) offers a very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. This material stands up to solvents, strong acids and bases, and steam. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.

Typical settings include chemical processing, aggressive-media pipelines, and semiconductor fabrication.
