8-014 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90014 is an AS568-014 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.489 in (12.42 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.629 in (15.98 mm). In service, this back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
