8-030 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90030 is an AS568-030 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.614 in (41 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.754 in (44.55 mm). In service, this back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
