8-127 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90127 is an AS568-127 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.424 in (36.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.63 in (41.4 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to many acids, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life.
