8-130 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90130 is an AS568-130 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.612 in (40.94 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.818 in (46.18 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or hot water and steam.
