8-135 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90135 is an AS568-135 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 1.925 in (48.9 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.131 in (54.13 mm). In service, this back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, semiconductor equipment, and aerospace.
