8-143 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90143 is an AS568-143 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.425 in (61.6 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.631 in (66.83 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids.
