8-223 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-223 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 1.609 in (40.87 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.887 in (47.93 mm), catalogued under part number VBU90223. It extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Typical settings include chemical processing, high-temperature process equipment, and semiconductor equipment.
