8-230 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number VBU90230 is an AS568-230 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.484 in (63.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.762 in (70.15 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.
