8-327 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Ordered as VBU90327, this is an AS568-327 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 1.725 in (43.82 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.145 in (54.48 mm). The back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with ketones and esters or hot water and steam.
