8-333 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90333 is an AS568-333 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.475 in (62.87 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.895 in (73.53 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.

Typical settings include aerospace, semiconductor equipment, and high-temperature process equipment.
