8-433 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90433 is an AS568-433 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.475 in (139.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.025 in (153.04 mm). In service, this back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or hot water and steam.
