Part number VQ4001 is an AS568-001 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.029 in (0.74 mm), a cross section of 0.04 in (1.02 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.109 in (2.77 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to many acids, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
