4005-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

VQ4005 is an AS568-005 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.101 in (2.57 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.241 in (6.12 mm). In service, this quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life.
